Relief Center at Life School

Jun 2, 2023

Kakching Life School has been temporarily closed in light of the recent conflict and unrest in Manipur. For the safety of all students, the campus has been fully evacuated, with parents quickly arriving to take their children home. Meanwhile, the local government approached our school to serve as a relief center for the local community fleeing from other areas.

Presently, we are accommodating 80 individuals, with more expected to arrive soon. We are working closely with the government and aim to provide support and extend our facilities to assist the affected families. The police have installed temporary outposts around the school premises as a precautionary measure.

Though the future of Life School remains uncertain, we remain hopeful for peace and healing in the days ahead and look forward to the time when the school can reopen as a place of love, hope and learning for all communities.
