We are pleased that Life School has resumed full operations, with 96 children enrolled for the 2024 academic year. Most of the children come from displaced Meitei families whose homes were destroyed during the conflict and were living in relief camps. The rest of the children are from homes affected by addiction and HIV.
The past few years have brought significant challenges to the school, with disruptions caused first by the Covid-19 pandemic and more recently by the ongoing conflicts that began in 2023 in Manipur. While there were times we had to temporarily close, we are deeply grateful that classes have now resumed and the school is once again back in session.

Life School is committed to providing these children with residential education in a loving environment. Our hope is to mentor them towards a future shaped by love and compassion – rising above the divisions they have recently witnessed.

Our vegetable garden, which grows corn, cabbage, broccoli, and bell peppers, not only provides fresh, nutritious food for our children but also helps reduce food expenses -especially important given the sharp rise in the cost of basic commodities following the pandemic and recent unrest..
