Kakching Life School is bustling with 75 children enrolled for the 2023 school year. One of our key goals for 2023 and beyond is to raise the standard of education we offer. On the residential side, the children are well cared for – living in on-campus boys’ and girls’ homes, enjoying nutritious meals, and making the most of the playground, chapel, and other facilities. While their overall well-being is strong, we recognize there is room to grow academically.

Our current teachers, all from Kakching town, have served faithfully over the years to the best of their ability. To enhance the quality of education, we’re planning to set up a Zoom room – opening the door for educators from outside Kakching to teach, train, and support the growth of our school.

We have setup a “Zoom” room which will allow the children to learn from, and interact with an online teacher. The recent availability of high speed internet at the school has made this possible.

The next three months will serve as a trial phase to evaluate the effectiveness of Zoom-based learning. We aim to identify and address any technological or logistical challenges during this period. Once the system is running smoothly, we plan to invite more teachers from across India and around the world to join us in teaching at Life School. In this initial phase, the online classes will focus on enhancing students’ English language and communication skills.
