Life Challenge Outreach teams have visited the remote villages & towns on the India – Myanmar border to recruit children from homes affected by HIV & addiction.
The teams visit homes and communities to meet with the children and their parents or guardians. The children must meet one of the 4 categories of qualification for Life School:
- Orphaned by HIV or addiction
- Child of HIV or addiction widow
- Children affected or infected by HIV
- Abandoned or children from homes affected by HIV or addiction.
After being selected by Life School, the children have to report to the local Child Welfare Commission office, and obtain a referral letter from the Government. Life School is registered with the Government as a care provider for affected children.
